Support Workers - Supported Housing (Permanent)
Salary: £8.35 ph Job Type: Permanent
Location: Colchester, Essex
Our client is a well-established Supported Housing company based in Colchester and they may have just the opportunities you need.
This Housing Group works to support young people into independent living. Enabling them to grow and develop life skills and supporting them with everyday activities etc.
You must be well experienced in supporting young adults and adolescents within a residential environment providing the highest standards of care and support at all times.
Some residents may have challenging behaviour, mental health and EBD issues so you must be able to create and build rapport with each individual resident, using key skills and a positive, caring attitude at all times.

Support Workers - Colchester Area
Hourly rate £8.35 plus additional payments for sleep in duties
Support workers ideally need the following -
- Experience in supported housing/ care working with 16-18 year olds
- To be able to lone work confidently
- To be computer literate & make themselves understood clearly
- Be professional & have some understanding of ethics & boundaries
- Need to ensure the safety of the tenants & the building
- Willing to learn
Duties will include working within a team supporting young people in their accommodation. Some shifts will include sleepins.
Enhanced CRB/DBS and previous support worker experience necessary + NVQ level 2/3 in Health & Social Care.
You will be working on a 24/7 shift rota including days / evenings / weekends / bank holidays.
