3* BEST COMPANIES AWARD
We are extremely proud to announce that ENS has achieved a 3* status in the prestigious Best Companies award scheme 2010. We are one of only 50 companies nationwide to achieve 3* status, the highest accreditation possible.

Best Companies established the accreditation award scheme to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Based on staff feedback, it looks at employee engagement as an integral part of a companys success and growth, and sets a benchmark for other employers. The accreditation scheme follows a Michelin star style system with companies awarded one star for first class, two stars for outstanding and three stars for extraordinary performance.

This year, 1086 organisations entered the Best Companies Accreditation. From these companies Best Companies received survey responses from over 257,513 employees.

The total number of "Star Status" accredited organisations this year is 410, broken down as follows:

50 organisations achieved Three Star Status
140 organisations achieved Two Star Status
220 organisations achieved One Star Status

" We would like to congratulate ENS Recruitment Limited on their outstanding achievement. An engaged workforce is essential as organisations move out of the recession and into a more stable economic situation. No doubt many organisations have tackled redundancies and rapid change this year. But organisations like ENS that have kept on engaging their staff and making sure they are involved in the business will be in a good position for the future and should be congratulated for their efforts."
Jonathan Austin - Founder and CEO of Best Companies

KENT OFFICE OPENS
ENS Recruitment has opened a new office in Maidstone, Kent to complement its existing network in Essex and East London, which includes Westcliff, Ilford and Chelmsford.

Managing Director Allyson Abel explains the thinking behind the expansion.

“A Kent office has been part of our medium term strategy for some time,” she explains, “The primary reason being that this enables our offices to mirror the geographical spread of many of our clients more accurately, covering East London, Essex, and now Kent. It is also true to say that the decision was demand led, as increasing numbers of Kent based organisations have been enjoying a range of our services for some time.”

Launch Manager is the highly experienced Suzanne Dakers.

“We will be providing the full range of recruitment services for nursing and residential care homes, NHS and private hospitals, housing associations, social services and community support,” she says, “This will include our commercial division, which provides all levels of administration, secretarial, customer services/call centre, accounting, office management, sales (telesales, field sales, sales management), motor trade (all aspects), industrial and technical staff.”

ENS Recruitment was established in 1991 and holds several substantial Local Authority and housing association contracts, and also provides Staff Bank Management and Recruitment Services. Additionally ENS has satisfied the stringent quality criteria required to be providers of healthcare staff to the NHS London Agency Project (LAP) and South East Agency Project (SEAP).

The details of the Kent office are: Kent House, 4th Floor, Suite 7, Romney Place, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6LH Tel: 0845 263 7530 / Fax: 01622 772 432 Email: kent@ensrg.co.uk.

BUSINESS AWARDS TRIUMPH
Awards Triumph for ENS

ENS Recruitment and Training Services are celebrating a double win at the 2009 Southend Business Awards. At an Oscars style ceremony in front of an audience of nearly 600 members of the Southend business community ENS were presented with the award for Growing Business of the Year, and Suzanne Dakers, ENS Operations Director, won Business Woman of the Year. The awards, in their 15th year, are organised by Newsquest Essex, publishers of 33 newspapers across Essex, including the Southend Echo and Standard. In the face of fierce competition the final selections were made following 100 field visits made by the judges. In addition, Suzanne was subject to a rigorous interview by a panel of four judges.

Managing Director Allyson Abel is clearly delighted. “The whole team deserves congratulations,” she says, “But in particular Suzanne, who is an outstanding manager and did brilliantly. Every member of staff at ENS is acutely aware that the quality of our service can impact on the vulnerable – as a result, they are special people who are dedicated to providing the very best service.”

The citation for the Growing Business of the Year Award highlighted the development of highly effective partnerships with clients, combined with ongoing staff training as being key to achieving around 80% market share locally. It went on to praise ENS’ flexible, forward thinking and robust management and quality systems. Suzanne’s citation praised her business development skills and market knowledge, together with her commitment to going the extra mile to provide a quality service, adding that the combination ‘balanced the task of increasing business and creating profit on the basis of standards’.

Allyson added, “I am very proud - this means a great deal to everyone at ENS, they are wonderful people to work with. We have maintained our focus on the provision of an outstanding service in the care sector through challenging conditions and this year opened a Commercial Division to bring the same standards to businesses and public sector organisations seeking temporary and permanent staff.”

DISABILITY SYMBOL

Shining Stars
It was good news all round when ENS got the ultimate seal of approval from the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
Following their unannounced inspection in December 2008, the Westcliff branch of ENS was awarded 3-star status by CSCI. The award relates to the Nursing Agency part of our registration, with 3 stars as the highest possible rating. Indeed, only a small percentage of those agencies inspected ever receive such a high grade.
This rating means that the people who use our service receive excellent quality outcomes. The inspection looked at various aspects of the agency, including management, administration, recruitment and complaints. Outcomes were scored as good or excellent in all areas, and the inspector noted that the people who use the agency are 100% satisfied with the overall service they receive.
Everyone at ENS is very proud of having achieved this recognition from CSCI.

New Commercial Division
We are pleased to announce our new commercial recruitment division opened in early April 2009.
The new division means we can supply a wide range of commercial staff (temporary and permanent), including all levels of administration, secretarial, customer services/call centre, accounting, office management, sales (telesales, field sales, sales management), motor trade (all aspects), industrial and technical staff.
The division will be headed up by Kim Baker, who, as well as developing the permanent healthcare division at ENS, has vast experience in commercial recruitment. This will enable her to fulfil the office staff recruitment requirements of our existing clients, opening a new and exciting chapter for ENS.

Kim started her recruitment career in 1985, working for commercial agencies based in Brentwood and Chelmsford. For the last fourteen years she worked for an independant commercial recruitment company in Southend and was promoted to manager in 2003.
Kim is now looking forward to developing the permanent healthcare recruitment division and our Commercial Division at ENS. She will be working alongside Colin Taylor, an experienced Recruitment Consultant in the healthcare and commercial sectors.

The Sign of Quality
In December 2008 ENS completed an end-of-year Quality Assurance survey.
This formed a vital part of our ongoing quality management system and enables us to monitor our performance, as well as identifying any areas where our service could be improved.
We sent out questionnaires to our clients asking them to comment on every aspect of our service, including our staff, the bookings team, training, recruitment, HR and the on-call service.
After analysing the results, we were extremely pleased overall. We scored 100% satisfaction rates in several key areas, including vital aspects of our accounts and recruitment services, as well as the prompt answering and politeness of our bookings team.
Only two issues - staff identity badges and a complaints procedure were identified as requiring improvement and action plans are now in place. This valuable information will help us to concentrate on improving our overall performance, and allow us to continue to improve the services we offer.
