Job Description
Do you have team leading experience in the social care sector? We are recruiting for a Team Leader (Client Services) for our client who are long established care provider in the community.
We are recruiting for a Team Leader – Client Services for our client based in Wescliff on Sea, Essex who are a long established care provider based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex. They provide home care services including personal care, home help, rehabilitation and companionship. As a Team Leader – Client Services you will work alongside the Registered Manager, to oversee and deliver all aspects of the Client Services function. You will be responsible (or share responsibility) for the following:
- Care Team Management, manage 70+ care staff within their role and report findings accurately to Registered Manager and/or HR
- Undertake quality checks of staff and audits relevant to role
- Evaluate and allocate workload for Shift and Duty care staff
- Liaise with Care Coordination and HR departments to maintain optimum staff levels
- Care Delivery
- Promote consistently high quality delivery of regulated services, exceeding CQC expectations of a Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive and Well-Led service
- Undertake new client assessments and oversee the take-on process
- To be continually aware of existing clients health and wellbeing and oversee care planning and reviews
- Be responsible for the maintenance and management of medication reviews and administration
- Work with Administration team to ensure all service documentation is up-to-date, accurate and audited
- Liaison with other professionals in the health and social care services in the area
- Work together with Care Coordination and HR teams to enable successful Care Delivery
- Be prepared to cover rostered visits in exceptional circumstances
- Staff Training
- Take part in the training and development of the care team to enhance professional standards and to suggest ideas for training content
- Work with HR to schedule induction, mandatory and development training sessions
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, (e.g. CQC, H&SE)
- Be responsible for the operational management of the client services team
- Work collaboratively with the Management Team towards shared management goals and objectives
- Liaise and escalate to the Management team
- Supervise and co ordinate the work of junior staff in the client services team
- Motivate and persuade others through effective communication skills
- Out-of-hours cover by rota
- Visit monitoring, taking immediate actions if required (remote)
- Emergency phone cover (remote)
Required skills/attributes
The successful candidate will be able to provide evidence of the following:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role or Health & Social Care Senior clinical position
- Ability to work within an office/ team setting alongside remote workers within the local community
- Degree in Social work, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy or NVQ Level 4+ qualifications or equivalent.
- Evidence of CPD post-graduation
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- The ability to work quickly and accurately, using an organised approach and with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and exercise clear judgment
- Able to quickly and effectively learn new systems and processes
- An up-to-date DBS Certificate
- Must hold a current full UK driving license and have access to a car for work.
Pay rate: £24-29k per annum plus generous on-call allowances for out-of-hours cover
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00-15.00/ 10.00-18:00 in rotation (may consider 25-30 hours per week)
Holiday: 28 days paid holiday, including Bank Holidays plus extra day for your birthday
