Are you an experienced Independent Living Manager seeking a new opportunity? Would you prefer to not deliver personal care so you can focus on leading your team and to work "off rota"? Then this role could be the perfect opportunity for you so please read on..
We are currently recruiting an Independent Living Manager for an Extra Care Scheme based in the Saffron Walden, Essex area. The scheme provides housing with care to 40 customers. There are a further 33 apartments for people aged 55 and over who do not receive care.
You will be responsible for line managing a team of care workers to deliver high quality care to 40 people. A team leader will report directly to you. The hours of care delivered vary depending on the customer’s needs.
Housing with care means that you will be required to carry out housing management functions at the scheme. This includes introducing new tenants to the scheme, dealing with repairs and responding to any neighbourly disputes or tenancy breaches. To help you do this effectively you will attend a detailed induction, have access to extensive training and the support and guidance from an experienced Regional Housing Manager. A housing assistant will also report directly to you.
Are you a manager tired of also working on rota?
You will not be required to deliver personal care. 100% of your time will focus on leading your team. To do this effectively, we believe a manager needs the adequate administration time to manage a service. Therefore, you will be 100% off rota, an arrangement which is becoming increasingly rare these days.
You will become the CQC registered manager for the domiciliary care that the 40 people receive. To help you succeed, you will have access to an extensive training calendar (you will be joining a company that has been awarded Gold by Investors in People), ongoing support from your line manager, the Essex housing Regional Manager and their Clinical Governance Manager (who is a qualified nurse). You will also attend various internal quality forums such as our health and safety and CQC quality forums.
88% of their staff told them that they treat them fairly and 87% of their staff told them that they have a great manager. Could you be one of these managers? if so, we want to hear from you.
