Job Description

ENS Recruitment, based in Westcliff on Sea, have been established since 1991 supplying temporary and permanent staff to the healthcare sector. We are currently recruiting for an Out of Hours Booking Consultant to work a variety of shifts in the week, weekends and bank holidays. Amount of weekly hours are to be discussed however they will be within the following:

We are currently recruiting for an Out of Hours Booking Consultant to work a variety of shifts in the week, weekends and bank holidays.  Amount of weekly hours are to be discussed however they will be within the following:

  • Evenings 4.45 to 10.30
  • Long days weekend 7.45 to 10.35
  • Earlies at the weekend 7.45 to 3pm
  • Lates 3 to 10.30pm

Hourly rates: £8.13 per hour weekday evenings, Weekends: £9.94. Enhanced rates for Bank holidays.

You will be working as part of our Healthcare Bookings team who are responsible for providing care staff and qualified nurses for residential homes, hospitals and community support clients.

Duties;

To receive hand over from each branch on a daily basis (week days only).
To fill all outstanding and emergency shifts on a daily basis.

  • To fill any outstanding shifts left on computer system from previous shift.
  • To deal with any incoming business opportunities or transfer to Assistant Branch/Branch Manager.
  • Keeping up to date with emergency on-call clients needs and inform and update them with current progress.
  • Filling shifts for clients when staff do not attend and re-arrange rotas as necessary.
  • To cover on-call overnight as and when rota’d to do so.
  • To ensure morning handover is completed, including faxing sheets to each branch and verbally handing over any shift explaining any problems encountered if necessary.
  • To ensure that care staff meet legislative requirements before booking.
  • Dealing with day to day complaints relating to care staff on an ad hoc basis.
  • Referring performance related complaints to relevant department as and when they occur.
  • Logging accidents and incidents relating to care staff and updating on-call clients as and when they occur, as stated in Company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure that staff are aware of risk assessment and risk control procedures.
  • Maintaining good relationships with clients, care staff and colleagues.
  • To have a good working knowledge of the National Care Standards for Domiciliary care and relevant legislation and to ensure compliance.
  • Booking care staff and qualified nurses into temporary bookings, managing and monitoring self bookings, time-sheet queries and holiday requests.
  • Management and monitoring of rota’s for agency workers and clients.
  • Managing a percentage of clients, including sourcing, building and maintaining good working relationships, in addition to consolidating the relationship and monitoring the service provided.
  • Refer incoming business opportunities to Branch Manager or sales team.
  • To ensure that care staff meet legislative standards, client requirements and company policy and procedure before booking into shifts.
  • Informing management of any complaints received, and dealing with day to day complaints relating to care staff on an ad hoc basis.
  • Referring performance related complaints to relevant department as and when they occur.
  • Logging accidents and incidents relating to Agency Workers as and when they occur as stated in Company policies and procedures.
  • To obtain accurate details and requirements of all bookings.
  • To follow up on all client activities in a timely manner, including booking agency workers, requests for statements, accident and incident forms and acknowledging verbal and written complaints.

The excellent dedicated back office support staff and they clearly understand their clients’ needs which are aligned to the qualities of the Support Workers, this helps builds the relationship.
