ENS Recruitment is assisting a long-standing charity with over 25 years’ of experience in supporting vulnerable people, with the recruitment of a Support Worker – who ideally has experience with Positive Behavioural Support.

What you will need to have is the right attitude and seriousity to provide holistic support to those who live in one of their respite services in Newham. A respite service means the people who live there will be supported for a short period of time – either providing some break from caring responsibilities to their carers or housing whilst they are waiting for a permanent home to live in. They can also live there for a longer period of time or receive day care/1:1 support. The service is registered for up to 6 people and acquired an Outstanding report from the CQC during their most recent inspection!

The role will involve Positive Behaviour Support and assistance with personal care. Flexibility is also required. Full training will be provided as you can acquire a certificate in Positive Behaviour Support as well as certified in-house training and NVQ in Health and Social Care.

The role offers 38 hours per week at £10.95 per hour, working out to £21,637 per annum. Also offering an Employee Discount Scheme and an Employee Assistance Programme. I feel I would like to give a positive review on working for ENS in any care capacity. I joined at the start of December 2015 and have been offered enough work to fit around my own needs and other commitments. The work has been varied and I received good information prior to the visit. The excellent dedicated back office support staff and they clearly understand their clients’ needs which are aligned to the qualities of the Support Workers, this helps builds the relationship.

While there is a need for help at short notice to meet the company needs I have been further impressed to have good notice of most of the work intended. My role has been largely Community Support but I have worked with our Residential team and clearly there is plentiful work again with helpful support.
