Job Description

Regular care work in the Sidcup area. Earn from £10 per hour at one of our Learning Disability Supported Living Units. You pick the shifts that suit you. Work around your own home life, so you get that work / life balance just right. Working as part of a team, you will always feel supported, whether it be at the service, or by one of our dedicated consultants.

As a Support Worker for ENS, you will never feel on your own.  We are a family-run agency with family values and truly care and value our staff.  We are currently recruiting Support Workers to join the team.

The role involves assisting adults with Learning Disabilities in various residential settings in Sidcup. Our clients all have different needs and interests, so every day is different. 

You will receive comprehensive training, 24/7 day and night support service, great benefits and pay.

Your day will include…

·         Accompanying clients with social activities and appointments

·         Teaching clients new skills to become more independent

·         Building supportive, trusting relationships

·         Working proactively with other members of the team and being a noble team player

·         Being a good verbal and written communicator

·         Supporting with meal preparation, personal care and household activities

You will need some experience …

6 months experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Carer would be preferred.  Mostly you need to have a big heart and the ability to care about the people you will be supporting.

I feel I would like to give a positive review on working for ENS in any care capacity. I joined at the start of December 2015 and have been offered enough work to fit around my own needs and other commitments. The work has been varied and I received good information prior to the visit. The excellent dedicated back office support staff and they clearly understand their clients’ needs which are aligned to the qualities of the Support Workers, this helps builds the relationship.

While there is a need for help at short notice to meet the company needs I have been further impressed to have good notice of most of the work intended. My role has been largely Community Support but I have worked with our Residential team and clearly there is plentiful work again with helpful support.
